You’re conscious that things will come up you don’t anticipate during the course of your project. You want to be prepared to receive additional guidance, advice, or support. This retainer-based investment is great for ongoing support throughout your build (ex: after we complete the Consciously Custom Package), or throughout your renovation project. Invest in ongoing access to me, at an interval of your choosing and based on your needs.

All calls, support, and any work product will be billed against the retainer (only for the amount of time used) at a discounted rate of $400/hr and in 10-minute intervals.

With this comprehensive package, our goal is to meet you where you are and facilitate your project goals. We’re a member of your team who speaks the language of both homeowners and building professionals. We will organize and develop a cohesive game plan so you connect with the building professionals who are capable of bringing your dream to life.

Each element of the deliverables we customize for you is grounded in our proprietary process we’ve coined, “Conscious Construction™”, which requires:

• Prioritization: Identify your wants, needs, and nice-to-haves (including items you might not be thinking of that make a home a healthy and safe environment). This will help ensure you allocate the appropriate budget towards the highest risk elements of your project.

• A System’s Approach: Based on your priorities (and Climate Zone), we will methodically work system-by-system to make recommendations and discuss project considerations to facilitate you making the case for the best material selections in support of your priorities and set you up for success. These recommendations are not prescriptive, but suggestive, and will serve as an excellent source of information for your builder. These recommendations will be provided to you in a time frame we agree upon, but typically within two (2) weeks of our first call. Examples of system analysis and recommendations may include:

  • Framing

  • Building envelope

  • Air sealing considerations

  • Insulation

  • Roofing system

  • Foundation

  • General material selection

  • Windows

  • HVAC

• Builder Interview Preparation: We will curate a detailed list of questions based on your risk-tolerance and your project goals. These will be provided to you in a time frame we agree upon at our first call, but typically within two (2) weeks. The customized list of questions are designed to help facilitate the following:

  • Ensuring you receive answers to your highest priority questions and concerns;

  • Establishing open and clear communication from the start of the potential relationship;

  • Your ability to compare each of the responses from each builder equally, further helping you make the important decision of who you will bring on your team.

Summary of the Bespoke Deliverables You Receive with an Investment in “The Consciously Custom™” Package:

1) Three 1:1 calls:

• an initial 1-hour call where we will align on your project’s scope, your risk-tolerance, constraints, and priorities (I’ll send you a questionnaire ahead of time so we can make the most of our time together on the calls)

• a second 45-minute call where we will discuss the deliverables I’ll provide and strategize how to implement them.

• final 1-hour call to compare and compile the results of your builder interviews (maximum of 3) and guide you in your options to move forward or continue interviewing.

• a complimentary call summary after each call.

2) A customized guide to help you build your short list of builders to consider interviewing.

3) A curated and detailed system’s recommendation write up.

You’re a group of sustainability-minded professionals committed to helping your clients find the healthy home of their dreams. Whether that’s building new or purchasing an existing home, during a 1-1.5 hour group training session, we'll review everything you need to know to guide your clients in making the most informed decisions possible to achieve their healthy-home goals.

Some items we’ll cover:

• Assessing high-risk elements of a home or potential home site utilizing building science and building biology principles and passive house design and construction considerations

• Reviewing visual cues of building failures and conditions conducive to building failures

• Identifying common building failures and what they can mean for your client’s health, wellbeing, and investment

• Interactive format to provide the guidance you need to help your clients assess the risk and develop a plan to move forward or move on

After the training, we are available to partner with you to ensure your client is fully satisfied with a durable, functional, and beautiful home from the outside in (See “The Conscious Professional Collab”, below).
